Fake Party: Judge Jeanine Trumps The Truth

“The Speaker’s office says she has been in DC all weekend and I take them at their word.”

When you take a pot shot at Nancy, you should probably aim first. Fox’s Judge Pirro produces an unfair and (ahem) unbalanced reference to Speaker Pelosi. You’d think referencing “media sources” as a “source“ wouldn’t still be a thing.

Facebook Facts: Transparency or Transactional?

“We know far too little about the outside influences on these ultimate arbitrators of the facts and how those forces may be silently shaping what is “truth” in the web era.”

Exactly. @kalevleetaru of GWU brilliantly paints the current social media fact checking picture and how it/they/xe (could be?) corrupted through financial incentive.

Fake Snowflakes: The Rock Rumbles

Found by on January 13th, 2019 - Be the first to comment!

An interview published by The Daily Star (with a made for Tabloid front page scream theme) quotes Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as an anti – Snowflake rable rouser (mildly put). Except according the action star – it’s (insert colorful metaphor here). Mr. Johnson took to Instagram (where else!) to set the record straight. If true – shame on The Star, the reporter and the editors. Wtf is going on where you can print (cow throughput) like that without checking with the alledged perp? Disgusting.

American Media: We’re Right, You’re Wrong

Found by on January 12th, 2019 - Be the first to comment!

American Thinker and author @retinaldoctor shred the “fact checking” MSM narrative. Proving most of their “checked” “facts”, are indeed, um, facts. Politicians lie, exaggerate and mislead – no kidding. The job of the 4th estate isn’t to preach and feign (we’ll I never!) shock. It’s to inform us about relevant events and interesting stories. And sports scores. And cat videos. And Dilbert. We digress.

NewsGuard: Alternative News Assassin

“Whoever controls the narrative controls the world. Ruling power’s desire to regulate people’s access to information is so desperate…they’re barely even concealing their desire to control our minds anymore, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to wake everyone up to their manipulations.”

Scary stuff.

Fake News Study: Is Fake

“For me, it’s very embarrassing, but errors occur and of course when we find them we have to correct them.”

Good for you. But next time, how about we check our work first?

Deep Fake Diary: Fox Affiliate Broadcasts A New Low

Found by on January 11th, 2019 - Be the first to comment!

“…We wonder if the MSM will give their Seattle comrades a pass for doctoring the Trump video, unlike the treatment received by Infowars editor Paul Joseph Watson, who was falsely accused of doctoring footage of CNN’s Jim Acosta pushing a White House intern.”

Note to our future deep fake selves: breath holding is overrated.

Blame Mom: Fake News is Her Fault

Found by on January 11th, 2019 - Be the first to comment!

Another quality thing to blame on your parents: the trafficking of Fake News. It seems youth challenged Americans are more apt to forward Russian bots and Fusion GPS narratives than “woke” millennial’s. Call us shocked.

Full Orwell: Seattle Times Un-Truths Reality

“Wholesale denial of objective reality is something new, especially from the highest elected official in the land.”

Ah, excuse us…but politicians lie for a living whether they are right or left. Been going on for centuries. “Inaugural crowd size” vs. ” If you like your doctor, you can keep you doctor”. What we take issue with is journalists (and media) that justify a biased narrative knowing full well the harm they are inflicting on their audience. Journalists should be objective – and this horrifically biased piece from @jontalton unfortunately makes our point.

Monoview: The “Disinformation War” You Aren’t Talking About

Found by on January 10th, 2019 - Be the first to comment!

“Doubleplusungood thoughts” & “crimethink”: the heart of today’s war against “truth” and the scope of current media manipulation. Patrick Armstrong of the Strategic Culture Foundation delivers a stinging assessment of the information racket from both the European perspective and (with great care) the Russian. Bottom line: Do your homework and be extremely skeptical.

Hemingway: Media Fact Checkers – Wrong On Facts

Found by on January 9th, 2019 - Be the first to comment!

“When it came time to back up this talking point about factual inaccuracies, the media whiffed. Most of the alleged “fact” “checks” were instead critiques of opinions. Many critiqued things not included in Trump’s speech. And sometimes the “fact” “checks” dinged Trump for saying completely true things.” Mollie Hemingway bravely exposes the naked bias currently corrupting the 4th estate.

NBC & MSNBC: “Humiliatingly Wrong”

Found by on January 7th, 2019 - Be the first to comment!

“We now have what might be the most vivid, reckless and dangerous illustration yet of how NBC and MSNBC functions. If their behavior weren’t so journalistically shameful and destructive, this would be darkly humorous.” Amen.
